Lawyer Profile

Prior to attending law school, Perry studied Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland where he focused his course selection on finance and accounting.

At the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, Perry focused his studies on family law related courses and volunteered heavily with legal clinics including Student Legal Services Civil/Family and Criminal Divisions for all three years of law school and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre during his third year of studies where Perry was a family law clinical student through the Low-Income Individuals & the Law Course.

During law school, Perry also volunteered with assisting individuals obtain initial Emergency Protection Orders through Legal Aid, the Do Your Own Divorce Clinic, completed research for LawNow Magazine, and was on The Golden Bearristers Rugby Club.  

Upon graduating, Perry articled at a family law boutique firm where he worked under senior counsel on an extensive variety of files including files involving high conflict parenting, complex property division, and child and spousal support determination. 

After being called to the bar, Perry has practiced solely in the area of family law and has experience appearing before the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.  Perry also has experience resolving files through mediation and arbitration. 

Perry is  a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Alberta Family Lawyers’ Association.  He has completed additional professional development in the areas of alternative dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration.
